My story

Thank you for visiting my page as this is something incredibly important to me, especially at this particular moment in time. As many of you know I lost my grandad to cancer, and sadly have just learned that my beautiful nan (seen here to the right enjoying her 90th birthday party) has pancreatic cancer, which will unfairly take her from us in the upcoming months. In memory of my grandad I took part in the race for life where, in true Lizbu style, I managed to break my ankle- so now I'm entering something I can be guaranteed to complete! I will be walking the half marathon in order to raise cash so that other people can be spared the heartache being felt by members of my family at the moment. We all know at the very least know someone who has lost a loved one to cancer and this is an opportunity to make a real difference. I know times are hard but I am shamelessly urging you from the bottom of my heart to find the odd pennies you may have spare and donate them to this outstanding charity. I would be delighted to absolutely smash my target and be able to report back to my family (including my nan) that together we have pulled together to help stop this disease from doing further harm.
