I am doing this in memory of my youngest brother Terence who was taken from us by Cancer 15 years ago this year, and in memory of the many friends and family that we have lost to this horrible disease be it Leukemia, skin cancer or brain cancer every life that I know has been touched by this horrible disease in some way or another.

Terence would be 31 years old this year and was a wonderfully talented individual from music and drama to his beloved football those who know him know that he had a wicked sense of humour and was a typical youngest child. When he was born my mum allegedly told her mother that this one was her's that he would be nice and quiet, little did she know! He touched lives where ever he went and with his passing shaped ours forever.

I want to try and do as much as I can to ensure that no one has to go through the pain and torture that my family has and if that means walking (or hobbling) 13.1 miles then I will do it! AS I HAVE NOW COMPLETED THE HALF MARATHON AND REACHED MY TARGET OF £350 I AM INCREASING IT TO ALLOW SOME OF MY OTHER FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO DONATE AS WELL, THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ALREADY DONATED.

Shine is a unique night-time walking marathon, and I will be taking part in Shine Glasgow - to beat Leukaemia.
